Switch choice changes how a keyboard feels more than any other part. Linear switches travel smoothly from top to bottom, which suits fast, repeated presses in shooters. Tactile switches add a small bump at the actuation point, so you feel when a key registers without bottoming out. Clicky switches add an audible click on top of the bump.
If you are unsure, start with linear for gaming and tactile for mixed work. Every Frameshift keyboard is hot-swappable, so the choice is never permanent: pull the switches and try another set in an evening.
